Sailing Team

Two Libera racing yachts. One young team. Full commitment on Lake Attersee, in the Adriatic and offshore.

About us:developing talent,winning races.

Zeit am See Sailing Team takes young sailors aged 15 to 30 from dinghy racing onto real racing yachts. On boats over 40 feet with more than 350 m² of sail area, teenagers and young adults learn what big-boat sailing means: team spirit, split-second communication and precision at the limit. The team also offers a way to keep young athletes in competitive sailing and to support them.

With a crew of twelve, every position carries direct responsibility – on the foredeck, at the winches or on tactics. We train hard in our home waters on Lake Attersee and race long-distance and offshore events on the Adriatic and in the Mediterranean.

Twelve people sail each boat. The team is larger than its two crews and is always looking for reinforcement – positions are assigned before every race and training session, and anyone who cannot make it is replaced. If you would like to sail with us or support the team, get in touch.

Mr. Cello Due

The reborn Lake Garda classicLibera B

Built for maximum speed in light air, Mr. Cello Due took legendary wins at the Gorla, the feeder race of the Centomiglia on Lake Garda, and at the 12-hour race on Lake Attersee. Sailors known for this boat included Axl Wiesinger and Michael Dichand.

After a thorough refit in the winter of 2024 and her naming ceremony in spring 2025, she is back in the thick of the racing.

Liberté

350 m² of power on 13.70 metresClassica Libera A

Built in 1986 by the boatbuilder Haitzinger on Lake Attersee, Liberté is to this day one of the most spectacular racing yachts in Austria. With her wings and up to 260 m² of spinnaker cloth she demands absolute coordination from her crew – and delivers planing rides like nothing else.

Her size and class make her one of the sportiest, most elegant and most eye-catching boats on Lake Attersee, known to sailors and non-sailors alike.
